VODOHOD IS RUSSIA’S FIRST TO OPEN THE RIVER TRAVEL SEASON

Vodohod has become the first to open the 2024 cruise season in Russia, starting navigation five days earlier than in 2023. On April 23, the first two ships – Mustai Karim 5* and Konstantin Simonov 3* – went from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow. In total, during the May holidays, the company’s ships will start 176 cruises from 14 cities in Russia, and during the season, Vodohod offers over 1,500 cruise routes and tours along the Russian inland waterways. Cruise navigation of 2024 will be one of the longest-running, lasting from April 23 to November 24. During this period, Vodohod plans to welcome 142 thousand tourists on its ships, which is 12% more than the 2023 plan.

In the 2024 navigation season, Vodohod has launched 25 of the 26 ships from the company’s cruise fleet. Russian tourists will make the majority of guests on board of Vodohod ships in the new season. The company expects several groups from the CIS and Southeast Asia.

For its 20th anniversary, which Vodohod officially celebrated on February 18, 2024, festive events and new entertainment programs and leisure activities on board are planned for guests during the river cruises of the upcoming season.

In honor of our 20th anniversary, the company’s brand chef has designed a unique collection of themed dinners “Russian Atlas” to be held on ships of all classes on voyages lasting 5 days or more.

On expedition cruises on the Maxim Gorky ship, chefs will offer guests gastronomic dinners called “Master of the Taiga” and “Many-Faced Asia”.

Restaurants on board the ships will offer more than 150 new dishes based on the recipes from the regions visited by cruise guests.

In the new season, we have focused on Russian wines offering even more brands from Russian wineries. In the bar menu, guests will find a map showing geographical location of Russian wine regions and specific wineries.

4 SEAS: White, Azov, Baltic, Caspian

4 LAKES: Baikal, Ladoga, Onega, Beloye

4 CANALS: Volga–Baltic Waterway, Volga–Don Canal, White Sea–Baltic Canal, Moscow Canal.

In 2024, a river trip can start from 22 cities, and more than 90 Russian cities can be visited as part of Vodohod cruises.
