Add impressions to winter – travel along Baikal Lake with Vodohod!

Vodohod company has opened the sale of exciting tours along the winter Baikal on the modern Biryusa hovercraft. The first winter expedition will take place from February 3 to 7. In total, 12 Baikal expedition tours are planned for February/March 2024: 10 long (8 days) tours and 2 short (6 days) tours.

Vodohod will open the winter season on Baikal with a six-day expedition tour along the western coast (Irkutsk region) with Irkutsk city as a departure and arrival point. The winter season will end with the same short tour (6 days) from March 25 to 30, 2024. The main 10 expeditions will last for 8 days and will cover two shores of Baikal at once - Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia, which means that the participants of winter tours will have access to more than 20 unique locations and get acquainted with traditions of different cultures in one trip!

The program of the winter Baikal Expedition 2024 includes:

  • Familiarization with the culture and traditions of the peoples of the Baikal region during the visit to the Taltsy ethnographic museum, Buryat Village ethnocomplex, Tarbagatai Old Believer village, Golden Horde ethnopark, Steppe Nomad ethnocomplex;
  • Ice skating on the largest natural open-air skating rink - Lake Baikal;
  • Lunch at the Arctic station with a chance to send a postcard from the center of Lake Baikal;
  • Acquaintance with the symbol of the lake - Baikal seal and other rare animals;
  • Visiting the famous Buddhist shrines of Baikal: Ivolginsky Datsan, Stupa of Enlightenment on Ogoi Island, Shamanka Rock on Olkhon Island;
  • Crossing the deepest point of Baikal (1642 meters), which is comparable to the height of five Eiffel Towers;
  • Bathing in the thermal springs of Baikal and bathhouse on ice;
  • Baikal cuisine: sugudai, Baikal omul, Buryat buuzy, khushur, urme, boovy etc.

Also at your service: accommodation in the best hotels in Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk and at cozy recreation centers on the shore of Baikal lake, three meals a day and picnics in nature, transfers on a comfortable Biryusa hovercraft, experienced guides, entrance tickets to museums, group transfer on the first and last days of the tour (airport - hotel - airport).
