About the ship
The Maxim Gorky is a four-deck ship, built in Austria in 1974 and fully refurbished to a luxurious 5 star level for the 2020 season. This elegant and modern 5 star ship was named after the Russian writer who was nominated for the Nobel Literature Prize five times, will be the first and only cruise ship to take guests along Siberia’s Yenisei River.

Guests onboard the Maxim Gorky will enjoy a large restaurant with Karaoke bar and entertainment complex on the boat deck as well as a spa, sauna and gym situated on the sun deck. Facilities include two bars including a wine library and Siberian beer bar, a conference hall and cinema as well as medical consulting room and souvenir shop, massage room, salt room, hammam, hairdresser.

The network of spectacular rivers and lakes are an attraction in themselves. Ice-blue waterfalls cascade over mountainous outcrops at Plutorana Plateau; tiny islands float in the midst of the expansive Lake ladoga; and Moscow’s canals offer a unique viewpoint for the city’s sights.

The onion-topped buildings and twisted-spire churches of Moscow and St Petersburg are iconic, Russia has so much more to explore. I would like to say special thanks to Irina Pavlovna, Ekaterina, our waiter Denis and Victoria, managers Ekaterina, Victoria, Nadezhda, Daria and, of course, the chief manager Lyubov, and to all the staff! The overall impression is excellent. The service on the ship fully complies with the international level (I have experience both along the Danube River and along the Mediterranean Sea - I can compare). An unusually attentive and warm attitude of all the staff, which, unfortunately, is not common with us. Thank you all, it was a perfectly organized work, next time we will travel only with Vodohod"!
Overall, the whole experience of this expedition is excellent. An interesting, beautiful and informative trip. Meetings and concerts, big and small private museums have left an impression on us, so did the conversations and stories of people, as well as long hikes to the Stolby and to the dead railroad. These impressions are warm and positive. I would like to express my gratitude for the organization and selection of meetings. The organization is excellent, Lyubov's work is professional (as well as that of the whole team)! I would like to note the brilliant work of Irina and her team, everything related to meals is impeccable, even the lunch boxes! The waiters were always friendly and helpful. It is great! Apart from that, I would like to say about the reception desk. Where did you find such beautiful, kind, sympathetic and patient girls? They are always ready to answer all the questions and provide assistance. The professionalism and clarity of the work of the entire team allowed us to complete this difficult journey without incidents. Many thanks! We will return, but this time we will take the cruise to the Arctic or Antarctic. I would like to have Andrey Vasilyevich as a captain and with his team!
