State Art Gallery named after P.M. Dogadin is the first art museum of the city of Astrakhan, founded by the donator of the picturesque collection of P.M. Dogadin in 1918. The collection of the gallery is more than 19,3 thousand units of storage. The Russian icon painting of the 16th-20th centuries, Russian painting, graphics, porcelain and sculpture of the 18th-20th centuries are exposed. Particularly important exhibits are the works of F. Rokotov, D. Levitsky, K. Bryullov, K. Shchedrin, A. Kuindzhi, I. Levitan, A. Savrasov, M. Shishkin, M. Nesterov, K. Malevich, V. Kandinsky, N. Roerich, etc.
